SKN :- Stator-Rotor Type S-OSR are manually operated floor mounting oil immersed starters. These are made in two parts :
- Stator Rotor Controller comprising of Oil Circuit Breaker.
- Rotor Circuit consisting of wire Resistance. The Stator oil circuit breaker and the Rotor circuit are electrically inter –locked. The stator Oil Circuit Breaker is provided with no volt no-close Device.
The high grade resistance wires are wound on best quality ceramic tubes so that there is no possibility of shorting of turns. Both Stator and Rotor are electrically interlocked such that the stator controller of Oil Circuit Breaker will not be able to close unless all the resistance are in circuit. Secondly if the Rotor resistance is not fully cut off. The stator. controller will trip.
OPERATION :- While operating make sure that wheel of the ROTOR is in STAR position. Then press push Button on the Stator. bring the handle of stator to ‘ON’ position. Keeping the push button pressed. Turn the wheel of Rotor to Start position (Until it stops) and release the push button.
